This tutorial will show you how to quickly and easily remove all In Points and Out Points from a group of clips inside a bin in Avid Media Composer.
Have you ever had a ton of shots in a bin that you’ve already marked In Points and Out Points for? And then for whatever reason you want to remove them? Instead of going in one by one in the Source Monitor and removing them, there’s a much faster and simpler way to do this.
Easy Method to Remove In and Out Points in Avid
To remove all the In Points and Out Points for a group of clips in a bin in Avid Media Composer, first select the clips in the bin. If it’s all clips, make sure the bin is active and use the keyboard shortcut Command+A (Mac) or Control+A (Windows) to select all clips in the bin. Then hit the G key. This will remove the In and Out Points for anything selected in the bin. Boom! It’s that simple.
Similarly, you can use the D key to remove just the In Points for any selected clips in the bin. Or you can use the F key to remove any Out Points.
